THE PRICE IS RIGHT

My first investment was some gold coins that my friend told me about. The other week, my friend kept calling me and asking me about the gold coins that I have. He told me that the gold price of the coins is high and is growing everyday. He was asking me if I will be selling my gold coins. But based on my observation, the price might go higher and as said in the news. I never imagine that my investment would be this big immediately. Based on my computation, the price doubled and some of my friends that are familiar to the investment said the price is going to escalate even further. I don't want to give up something that is growing immediately. I want to be sure that the price is right before I will sell all the gold coins that I have. It is a tempting offer and I am thinking about it right now.

DONE CLEANING IN THE STORE

I just got home from the store in the downtown. I cleaned the entire place this afternoon. I swept the floor and dust the windows. I washed the bathroom and the sink. The rooms were clean but I still wiped the dusty windows. It is very dusty and I feel like having colds right now. I have a runny nose and a little starting cough. I guess I am no Ironman now because of what I am feeling. But I am okay. The place still needs to be clean up. By Sunday, I will be bring in the refrigerator for the store and maybe by Sunday also, I will be purchasing the stocks for the store. I am still very busy right now. After cleaning the place, my shirt was very dirty and sweat was all over it. Luckily I broght along with me a shirt that was given to me by my office mate last December. Opening the store give me gitters and scares me alot. I don't know. Maybe this is what they call first timers. But I am very confident that I will be alble to get some market share in the area considering there is a convenience store nearby.

MAY 2009 IS THE START OF BUSINESS

I was supposed to open my little store this month. But I decided to postpone it because I am still looking for the person who will assist me in looking after the daily operation. I have already made all the necessary things to do for the store. I already know where to buy the supplies that I will be selling and the pricing is also is already completed. I am planning to selling also liquors and cigarettes because these are fast moving items in all stores. In terms of competition, there is one store that I cosidered my model store. It is the convenience store across the street. it is open 24 hours and sells items higher than the market value. I am planning to compete with their pricing. A mark-up of 10-15 percent will be enough to compete with the convenience store. I am also planning to create a scheme where the drivers in the vicinity will also generate income. I am very much excited about this business venture that I am goiung to enter. Working is not enough nowadays. We have to be wise and start our own business. I don't want to see myself retiring from work at 60 years old. I want to be the boss in my own business world.

MY SISTER'S NEW BUSINESS VENTURE

After being separated from the company where she worked for 8 years, my sister in law decided to venture into business. I think that is a very good idea right now. She plans to open a small business office where anybody can do fax, call, photocopy and do other things. This kind of business would require huge capital. it is because it involves machines and considering the rent of the space where the business will operate. But I know it is a good idea. She is still planning to pursue the business. I know this will be a big success in the future. Expect less in the first few months. But the customers already know the place, it will be a big success.

WELCOME TO THE WORLD OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT

Nowadays, many young people are venturing into the business world. It is because of the opportunity to make more rather than to just wait for the 15 and 30 salary days. Aside from that, it is also a great opportunity to practice what they have learned in school and that is business management. There are many great ideas that can be an origin of business. Ideas is the source of everything. For those who are eager to start a business, I guess you must start small. But it does not mean that your business will remain small forever. Think of building a business empire and a dynasty for the coming years. Many businesses right now are considered as small-medium enterprises. I was reading a book about entrepreneurship the other day. I find the book very interesting and worth reading. it talks about how to start a business. If I were a teacher, I would definitely infuse the book in my teachings. Many are called to start a business but the problem is when to start. But actually, that is really not a problem. The book that I was reading gave the answer to that question and the answer is now. Strike the iron when it is still hot. Because you will be able to mold something out from the hot still. This principle as applies to business engagement. Do it now or nothing at all.

NETWORKING INVITATION

This afternoon, I got an invitation from a good friend to join their networking business. This is another word for pyramiding scheme business. I know the ins and outs of this kind of business and only the first will be rich and the others that follows goes broke. My brother once joined the First Quadrant networking. He invested around 18,000 for him and his wife. After just several months of being a member, the company went out of business, including the invested amount of my brother. Because of that, I promised myself that I will never join any business enaged in pyramiding. They may call it harsh. But that is the truth about it. Pyramiding and money networking is not a good investment to make, especially when you are the new recruit.

COMPUTER STATIONS READY FOR BUSINESS

By next week, we will be operating our computer shop, PESO style. Instead of the regular flat rate of 10 pesos per hour, we made it peso per 4 minutes. This means that we charge gamers with 15 pesos per 4 minutes. We will start with 10 units. Actually, my friend Noli had already contacted the supplier of the computers and the one who will construct the table for the units. The network connection will will be handled by an independent person and the software also. We hope to start by May 2009.

50 YEARS OF SUCCESS

The company, where I am working right now, will be celebrating it's 50 years in business this coming May 9. According to our HR, there will be a basketball tournament. I remembered last December when me and my office buddies organized the first basketball tournament of our company. It was a great success. I hope our HR officer can match that success. Aside from the basketball tournament, there will also be a big feast and that means eating and eating till you drop. By next week there will be corporate giveaways again and there might be bonuses, fingers crossed. A business to exist 50 years is something to be proud of. Other businesses would barely reach its second year before closing. I wish the company more years to come and hope for another 50 years ahead.

I SELL LACOSTE SHIRTS

Last Monday, my sister-in-law made an order for her new business. She ordered 24 shirt with a Lacoste brand. I guess this will be her business since she will be spending more time at home. I admire her desire as she engaged in business, such as buy and sell. But actually, this is the most lucrative business ever. You invested money will grow as much as 40% or even more in just one transaction. This is her first time to make an order. if she likes the designs, she will be ordering more soon.

VACATION LEAVE VERY MUCH NEEDED

This afternoon, I went back to the office to file my vacation leave for tomorrow. My supervisor told me that since I am not feeling well, instead of vacation leave it should be sick leave. Vacation or sick leave, it doesn't matter as long I am on vacation. I have so many things to do for tomorrow. I have to process the business permit for the store that I am planing to open in the downtown area. I was supposed to go to the beach but this is more important than that.

GONE TO CEBU CITY

This morning, I accompanied my wife to the Davao International Airport. She has a scheduled meeting there this afternoon. She will be back by tomorrow morning at 10 am. While is there, I get to occupy her side of the bed. I think she missed to bring her toothbrush and toothpaste. Well, I guess the hotel has those things there for her.

This afternoon, I will be cleaning the store area in down town where we will be opening our small sari-sari store and some commodities. I will also be checking the nearby convenience store for prices of items. I will be lowering the price so that I can be very competitive when my store opens.

TIME IS TICKING AND IT'S FAST

Today is March 11 and the year 2009 is now coming to an end. That's right. The years is now 3 months less. I have so many things that I wanted to do and time is not in my side right now. But I know I will be able to accomplish these things before the year is over. By next month, I am targeting to open a store in the down town area. I know that it will be very hard since I am working and nobody will watch the store.But I am optimistic that I will be able to find somebody to do that for me. By next week, I will be processing my business permits and other things for the licenses. I have already contacted a local bookkeeper to assist me in the permits. The location is already prepared. Opening my own business is another chapter in my life. I am still saving all the courage and will to drive me to accomplish this. My aunts are very much willing to assist me in this endeavor. I haven't told my brothers about this. But I know they will all agree with my plan.
