NURSING PROFESSION DECLINED

In 2002, there was a great demand for the nursing profession abroad and many of my classmates went into the study of the course after they finished their bachelors degree in business management. Nursing is said to be the best course because many employers are looking for nurses not just locally but also abroad. Many Nurses that, especially the older ones, were able to land jobs abroad as nurses after they passed the state board for nurses. But in this time, nursing profession is declining in abroad because many hospitals are already cutting their cost of operation and cutting of number of personnel is being implemented. No wonder many graduate students right now that took up nursing are not working as nurses but as clerks and other functions. it is hard for a good profession to decline its demand. The global financial crisis is not yet over and this also attributed to the decline in the demand.

Even though the demand right now is low, still there is a demand for nursing professionals. The United States of America is the main target of nursing graduates. But going there is difficult if you lack the necessary credentials in order to go there. Many nurses are taking the other option by going to the middle east just to practice their profession as nurses and the pay is also good. Aside from the middle east, Canada is also looking for nurses that fill the vacant slots in their hospitals. There is still hope and a bright future for the nursing profession.
