The Philippines is one of the many growing countries in Asia and in the world. In a year, thousands of babies are born in all parts of the country. Some of these births are even unregistered in the local civil registrar. The Philippines is a dominated christian country with strong church teachings followed by the community. The church promotes life and values life. But in the latest civil review, the country is over populated and the government is making moves to stop the drastic growth of the population. Abortion is still unrecognized here in the country practicing it will be dealt with the hands of the law. That is why more campaign and drives for family planning by contraceptives such as condoms and pills are being pushed. But the most rampant exposure is the use of condoms and this item is well distributed in the local health centers. Companies that are selling condoms are using the most reliable source of marketing to make their condom product more visible to the community. But the church made a statement that the condom commercials must be stopped for it contradicts with the foundation of teaching of the church.
Now many companies are making the necessary adjustment of their commercials just to make fit to the desire of the church. There is an immanent danger right here. The uncontrolled population growth would mean more poverty years for the Philippines. It is easy to make people but it is hard to feed them. In the current scenario, people living below the poverty line are more productive in making babies than people who are affluent ones. The most desirable number of kids would be one or two depending on the financial status of the family. There is no wrong in creating life in this world but we have to make sure that we can be responsible in feeding the lives that we brought to this earth.
