BIRTHDAY PARTY SUCCESS

My mom just celebrated her 57th birthday at Kuya Eds restaurant along Magallanes Street, here in Davao City. Most of her guests were relatives and extended families. The eating portion started immediately, since the food were already prepared at the eat-all-you can restaurant. Mom received several gifts from her sisters and friends.

Dining out and celebrating birthdays and other special occasions is better to be held in restaurants. In Kuya Ed, you would only pay around 99 pesos per person. There is no limit and minimum. After eating, anybody can leave without thinking of the washables. In this like this, we need to be practical.

FEAST OF THE PATRON

Our village will be celebrating the feast of St. Joseph the worker. This is our patron saint in our village. Usually, it is in the first Sunday of the month of May. No wonder there is a tournament being held in our basketball court every night. Food preparation for the feast is not being practice here. Those who will prepare something, good. For those who will not, good also. Unlike the feast celebration in Bohol. Where everybody prepares food in their houses. Everyone is invited, even strangers. The Bohol feast is one of the most grandiose celebrations in the Philippines. I haven't experience that celebration. But in due time soon.

DIGOS CITY HOME OF THE BEST BIBINGKA

I went to Digos City this morning to conduct an investigation. But sadly, the person that I was looking for was not around. I made some inquiry in the vicinity area where the store operates and went back home to Davao City. Just a piece of information, Digos City is the first city when going to the south direction. From Davao City to Digos City, it would take around an hour on bus ride, depending on the traffic. The main products of Digos City are the following: Mango, coconut, sugarcane, banana and clay pots. The main transportation in the city proper is the tricycle. But aside from the products that I mentioned, the product or goods that is called gold is their Bibingka and other native delicacies. The famous store that sells bibingka in Digos City is called Mers. When you mention the name, the tricycle will immediately bring you to the main store. But for those people in a hurry, Mers has opened a terminal branch in Digos City. Since I was already in the terminal, I bought some goodies for the house. Aside from their famous bibingka, they also has puto, suman, tupig, kutchinta and lots more. When you are in Digos City, bring home some goodies. I am sure you will love it.

GROCERY SUPPLY GOOD FOR TWO DAYS

Just got home from SM. I bought some grocery supplies just for two days. It is because I will be away again this Thursday until Friday. I bought some chicken and dulong, small fish very taste with egg. In local term it is called UKOY. I don't know why it called like that. Believe me it really taste good. I also bought laundry soap, fabric conditioner, and suka or vinegar. The total amount of the grocery is worth 258 pesos. I used my credit card for payment of the items. There were more items supposed to be in my grocery bag. But I felt like urinating, I decided to cut short my grocery task. The shoe mart grocery area was rearranged last month. I had some problem in locating the items that I wanted because of the new arrangements. I forgot to buy biscuits, milk and my favorite, Milo. Maybe when I get back again, I will complete my grocery items.

SUMAN ANYONE!

This is my favorite merienda meal. Suman, the local rice roll has been my favorite. Since I tasted it, I cannot stop eating it. Our canteen is selling this food and I always buy 7 pieces or even more. This is like Pringles. One I pop, I can't stop. All my friends were wondering why suman? Why not! When I travel in provinces, I make sure that I buy suman as a bring home. Once you tasted suman, I bet, you will surely love the taste of it.
