FRAGILE PERSON ON BOARD

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of NMEDA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Fragile person on board. This is what I think would described my uncle who was a victim of a vehicular accident 2 months ago. It was already 9 pm when my uncle decided to go home from work. It was raining hard and visibility was nearly zero. My Uncle was in a hurry and he did not noticed the road barrier that was lined up on the side. It was a sharp curve and the wheels of his car slipped and he went crashing on the road barrier. In the event, my uncle was alive to tell about it but his right leg was totally damage and the doctor said that it would take around five to ten years before my uncle will be able to walk again. Driving is not allowed because it might lead to total paralyze on the right leg. Even traveling was quite hard for him because he needed a modified vehicle for his condition.

After the accident, our family got a vehicle that is QAP accredited. Quality Assurance Program or QAP is a group that is responsible for making handicapped people get that right mobility in their vehicles and even on their wheelchairs. Buying or acquiring from internet sites and brochures of things without QAP accredited can be dangerous to patients with mobility problems. We bought our wheelchair and vehicle from a NMEDA dealers. The biggest advantage to buying from a NMEDA qualified dealer is that they conduct on-site evaluations to custom fit vehicles to your specific needs. My uncle was a hesitant of riding a vehicle but the NMEDA dealer assisted us quite well and gav the right information to my uncle to relieve his fobia in riding a vehicle again. It was QAP assured and we got it from a NMEDA dealer. We know that it was the best for my handicapped uncle.
