MORE PIGS FOUND EBOLA RESTON VIRUS

Pigs in some farms in Luzon were found with Ebola Reston Virus. The department of health have already issued an order that pigs found with the virus must be eliminated by burning the pigs. The virus is really not that deadly at this stage. Many farms in the area are now being randomly tested for the virus. If found, the farm will be closed for quarantine and the pigs n that farm that has the virus will be eliminated immediately. This news about the virus was reported last year. Since then, the department of health has monitored the situation in the farms and constantly reported the developements. The department is planning to launch a national campaign about the virus search and awareness to the public. The department has guaranteed that pig meats are still safe to eat. Since cooking the meat would remove the virus. Pigs that were scheduled for export were temporarily suspended until such time the virus has been totally eliminated.
