TROUBLED BRIDGE

I live in a subdivision here in the city proper and the only way to our village is a semi-concrete bridge that has been built for about 30 years now. Imagine the wear and tear of the materials that were used in the bridge. There have been improvements on the bridge like the additional steel underneath the old ones and some paintings that made the bridge look new. There have been suggestions by the homeowners that the bridge be given shade by building a roof to protect it from the rain and the hot scorching sun. Basically the main purpose is the protect the bridge. Two years ago, additional creating of the road was made. It allowed two vehicles pass. It was a widening of the main road.

This evening, I thought it was just a branch of a tree that fell on the road blocking the other way. But it was not. It was more and worse that I expected. The reason why there was a blockade in the other way is that the side of the bridge collapsed and making the bridge dangerous to pass, especially large vehicles and even sports utility vehicles. According to the subdivision leader, he already informed the local city engineers office about the scenario of the bridge and they promised to look into the matter immediately. At this time, no city engineers visited our bridge and the blockade is in it's place to protect vehicles from falling in the side of the bridge.
