BOXING GLORY FOR MANNY PACQUIAO

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao is the best pound for pound boxer right now. he has showed what he is made of after defeating the Golden Boy - Oscar Dela Hoya in nine round of professional boxing. I never imagined in my wildest dream that a fight would happen. It is really unimaginable for a fight to exist, may be on video games.

Before the fight, I was really betting on Oscar Dela Hoya for the reason of he is a legend in the boxing arena. He has weathered through time and faced to most deadly boxers to face him. He may be older but his skills is still as sharp as a samurai. For Manny Pacquiao he is in deed the best pound for pound boxer at this time. But this title was not earned by Manny Pacquiao. After Roy Mayweather announced his early retirement, the title was immediately given to Manny Pacquiao for that reason. The night before the fight, I saw a boxing special. it was about the training that Manny Pacquiao and Oscar Dela Hoya went through for the fight preparation. There I saw an old man and a man with a big heart to win. Oscar Dela Hoya was training poorly. He was in fact starving himself just to make it to the 147 pound limit. While Manny Pacquiao was building power and enhancing his quickness and stamina for the fight. He was in top condition and well prepared as his trainer, Freddie Roach would be say.

As the two boxers enter the arena at Mandalay Bay hotel and casino, Manny Pacquiao was a hungry wolf and Oscar Dela Hoya was a sheep waiting to be preyed. In the early rounds, I would describe Oscar Dela Hoya's fighting style as an obsolete machine. He was taking all the punches of Manny Pacquiao as evident in his blown face after the match. Manny Pacquiao was ready to accept all the punches that Oscar thrown and Oscar was not man enough to take the blow that Pacquiao launched to him. Before the nineth round would start, Oscar Dela Hoya went to the ringside of Manny Pacquiao and congratulated him. A sign of sportsmanship and a true man to accept his defeat. Boxing is no longer with Dela Hoya after this defeat. After the match, Ricky Hatton congratulated Manny Pacquiao and left some words to him. He would be waiting for him in England.

In my opinion Ricky Hatton doesn't stand against Manny Pacquiao. He has no good combinations and his moves are predictable. When the day comes when Manny Pacquiao would be facing Ricky Hatton, my money goes with Pacquiao. He is truly the best pound for pound boxer right now. No doubt about that.
