WHY DID NOLI DE CASTRO DID NOT RUN FOR THE PRESIDENCY

Before the last day of filing of candidacy for the presidency, many were looking at the current vice president, Noli De Castro. He was the bet for the presidency for the administration group. But he did not run. Many believed that the vice president was afraid of losing to the more famous Noy Noy Aquino of the Liberal party. But actually it is not. People who don't know politics would rather keep their mouth shut or else die! Joke!

Noli De Castro has all the potential to become the president of the Philippines. But he declined the offer. As the incumbent vice president, he is more qualified that anybody else who is running for the presidency right now. Years of experience in the position makes him a good man for the position. This is how politics rolls in the Philippines, hidden requests from friends. It is no secret to tell that vice president Noli De Castro is a close friend of Kiko Pangilinan, Ralph Recto, Joker Arroyo, Mar Roxas and Noy Noy Aquino. They call their group, the Wednesday Group. These guys meet in a restaurant and discuss their sides and opinion on politics and things. These people respect each other and take each advice seriously. The group advised Noli De Castro not to run because they want to have a solid and majority votes. If Noli De Castro runs, that would mean that they cannot secure the winning for Noy Aquino.

It is a big decision that Noli De Castro took and made him decide that the presidency is not for him. At the moment, Noy Aquina has the commanding lead over other presidentiables. But the road ain't over yet. There are still more days ahead before the election day. Noy Aquino would need more and more support from the people in order to secure him the position and the president of the republic.
