Cannibalism according to wikipedia means that an act of eating fresh meat of humans. But in this case is different. I never imagine that my pet dogs are naturally born cannibals. My oldest dog is a female and she already gave birth several times. I remember before, her puppies where believed to be killed my a python or sawa in local term. But I tried burying the puppies, I noticed the dog waiting and looking at what I was doing. The following day, I saw the place where I buried the dead puppies to be empty or dug up. I was clueless who did it.
This January, my dog again delivered 3 puppies. After 2 months, one of her puppy died. I was late to noticed the carcass only after I smell the unpleasant rotting small. I quickly buried again the carcass. The following day, I found the carcass being eaten by the mother. It was already smelly and I cannot stand to look at the scene. Slowly and slowly, the carcass was eaten until bones were left. I never imagined that dogs are like that.
