LAST SUNDAY MASS OF 2008

I went to San Pedro Cathedral to attend the last Sunday mass of 2008. As expected, the church was full of people praying and were attending the mass, the last of 2008. Outside of the church was also another type of crowd. Many locals are displaying their goods and food carts are ever present. Anywhere you look at, people are swarming the area. I also went to the candle lighting area and it is also full of people. Every year, the last Sunday mass is the most attended mass ever. According to some old traditions people would attend the last Sunday mass to pray and make a wish for the coming year. Many are still following this tradition and I don't see any problem about it.
