REDUCING THE EFFECTS OF GETTING OLD

While you can't stop the aging process, you can reduce some of its effects. For example, you can defy the pursed lips, dry skin and wrinkles that are sure signs of aging. Here are five anti-aging tips that will help you reduce the signs of aging.

1. Be sure to wear sunglasses. If When you first go outside, the tendency is to squint because of the bright light. This leads to those wonderful wrinkles beside your eyes called crow's feet. Wraparound sunglasses can help those pesky crows at bay. It is important to choose the wraparound glasses because you can see the sun peripherally unless there is something to block its light. These glasses don't have to cost $100 or more, either. You can most likely find a pair in a drugstore and they will do the job just as well. Just remember to put them on every time you leave the house.

2. Stay out of the sun. Nothing changes your skin into something resembling old leather shoes faster than the sun. You can achieve a good tan without staying out in the sun or using a tanning bed. So, you can actually achieve a healthy sun-kissed glow without the sun's harmful ultraviolet radiation.

3. Drink more water. Did you know that your body is over 90% water? In fact, our tissues can't get enough of it. It is what gives our inner body a good shower every day. The toxins in our system can also be cleaned out with water. Women should drink anywhere from eight to 11 glasses of water a day to give your skin that healthy glow that you cannot even get from the best of lotions.
4. Take up yoga. If you're not familiar with yoga, it is a system of muscle-shaping poses, breathing techniques and meditation that can enhance your body, spirit and mind. Yoga increases flexibility, can help lower pressure and increase your energy level. Some yoga every day will calm your spirit, enhance your physique and can help you to feel 10 years younger.

5. Lighten up on the makeup. Using too much makeup can actually outline and define those wrinkles instead of fighting them. So, this is a case where less equals more. For example, try a concealer pen instead of a liquid foundation. Line your lips lightly and use a softer color. If you apply bright reds heavily, they will bleed into the lines around your lips.

While we cannot stop aging, there are things we can do to reduce its effects and to keep from looking at her age. The key to a longer and more satisfying life is to take care of our bodies.
