VACCINE FOR REESE ARABELLA

Last Wednesday, Me, my wife and Ara went to the pediatrician for another scheduled vaccination of Reese Arabella. The scheduled vaccination is just a booster shots for her Hib, Polio, HPV taken vaccines. This is very important so that her vaccines will be complete. We, as parents, want that our daughter will be safe and sound from this health problems.

Vaccination is quite expensive because just a single shot of the vaccine cost us 2,800 pesos. Before we used to visit the doctor for Ara's monthly vaccination schedule. This time, since she is already one year old, we need to visit the doctor for some booster shots every 3 months.

Our schedule for another booster shot will be on May. Every time we visit the doctor, we have to prepare at least 3,000 pesos for the vaccine. But even though the cost is quite expensive, we still make it sure that Ara has her vaccines so that she will be healthy and safe.

ITS A NEW YEAR TODAY

Today is a special day for the Chinese. It is because today is the new years day for them. Here in General Santos City is a holiday and I am still here. I hope I will be able to fisnish my field work by tomorrow so that I can get home early.

The Chinese new year is said to be a agood day to start something new in your life. Well, I guess this is really a nice day to start a new business with my wife. This is our plan for this year. We have already communicated with our suppliers and we hope that this year of the water dragon will bring good luck to us.

Yesterday, I bought a waller for my wife and a stuff toy for my daughter, Reese Arabella. I hope she will like this. This is a surprise for her this Chinese new year. I want to surprise her when I get home because every time I arrive, she will greet me in the entrance of our house. I want to give her this stuff toy when I arrive home. My wife told me that I must wrap it to make it a surprise for her. She will be the one to open the gift by destroying the wrapper. I guess I won't do that suggestion because we need to conserve things and not just destroy it. It's still money, you know. To all, Happy New year...Kung Hei Fat Choi!

RAINY SUNDAY, LOTS OF THINGS TO DO

Its a rainy Sunday here in General Santos City, the home of Manny Pacquiao. I am still doing my field work and I just can't move fast because of the rain. I think this will be a long gloomy day here in General Santos City. Too bad, I haven't brought any jacket that will give me warm since it is a cold day today.

Since it's raining outside, I plan to go to the mall and check out some things. My wife wants a wallet that I would give her when I get back home. It is said that she will have a good luck this year when she receives a wallet this Chinese New Year this morning. I will be checking out the mall for that lucky wallet for my wife.

I have to finish my field work by Tuesday so that I can get home. Monday is a holiday so, I have no transactions on Monday. This is really the sad part when I am on my field work. I cannot do anything when it is a holiday.

FATHER TEACHER, DAUGHTER STUDENT

Last week was a great week for me. I was able to bond with my little daughter Reese Arabella Rojas. She is already 1 year and 6 months old and full of surprises. Aside from being a father to my daughter, I also did the role of being the teacher to her. As they say that the parents are the first teachers and that is what I did to my daughter.

For last week, I taught her different kinds of shapes. From square to star and I was pretty surprise that my little daughter was able to identify the shapes by pointing to it if I ask her what shape was it. She is learning very fast and rapidly increasing her stock knowledge. I told my wife that it is very important for our daughter to learn in this stage. I added that encourage to open a book for her and read stories because Reese Arabella like to look at the pages and even listen to the stories. Her interest in books is worth mentioning because every time I would open a book to her, she will immediately sit on my lap and start turning the pages. It is quite amazing for a baby to have this kind of interest and I am just happy that she likes sit and read books...soon.

I am planning to buy this chart of numbers so that I can teach her the basic numbers from 1 to 10. And even the alphabet letters. I realized that one week is not enough of being a father and teacher to y daughter. I want her to learn new things and discover new bright ideas. My daughter also likes filing things on stocks. I really can't wait to teach her again when I get back home.

NBA GAMES EXCITES ME

I am very happy that National Basketball Association or NBA has resume its games last December. I thought there will be no games for this season. I am just happy that the games resumed. For this season 2011-2012, there will be 66 games per team. Until the season will reach the playoffs and then the championships.

For this season, I think the Miami Heat is a championship contender because they are intact and there are more power added to the team. Dwane Wade, Labron James and Chris Bosh are still a triple threat in the court. They really have mature enough after last seasons defeat by the Dallas Mavericks. Speaking of the Dallas Mavericks, I believe that they need to double their effort because there are many addition to their championship team. Tyson Chandler has gone to the New York Knicks and that is a big blow to the Dallas squad. But they have added Lamar Odom from the Los Angeles Lakers.

For the Lakers, they need to bond immediately and get their team going because they already suffered several loses and Kobe Bryant, Pau Gasol and Andrew Bynum must step up or else they won't reach the NBA finals again. They need to pump up the remaining games and there must be leadership in Kobe Bryant since he is the main man of the team.

For this season also, I believe that this season is a great year for the New York Knicks. They have a stronger roster compared last year, especially Tyson Chandler is already around for more power below. Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire will have an easy job of getting the ball into the ring since Tyson Chandler is around.

The Boston Celtics is still another team worth mentioning. They are still complete with some add-ons to their team. The big three: Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce and the rest of the gang are ready to tear their opponents in the court. They are still a team to beat in the east. There are still many changes because the trade period is still available. Expect more teams building up and preparing for the playoffs.

I was watching these pictures from the recent flood in Iligan and Cagayan Cities. I believe that is another worse calamity for 2011. There was this one picture that touched me the most. In the picture, a father hugging his two kids found dead. I don't know if it is right to make the post in this blog of mine but I feel that people must know the event that happened in the cities that I mentioned. It is very hard for a new father like me to see this kind of event. Now I realized the meaning of being a father, the protector of his family.

We should offer our prayers and deep condolences to the people who are in the situation right. As we spend money for our personal things, maybe with this picture we can rethink the things we are buying and try donating some for the people that are in Iligan and Cagayan De Oro.

BONDING MOMENT WITH REESE ARABELLA

Today, I am alone with my little daughter, Reese Arabella, here in the house. Our house helper went to Davao City because of her father's birthday. I am baby sitter her while our helper is not around. Since this morning, I am already the one preparing her food, milk and everything. This afternoon, I will be the one to bath her. I guess I needed this kind of break with my little daughter. This is the first time I am the only one watching over her and feeding her.

Its a bonding moment for me and my little angel. Right now, she is asleep after drinking her milk. I am expecting her to wake up around 4 or 5 pm, enough time for my bath and hers too. I haven' t taken my bath yet because I am very focus on my daughter's needs.

The food for tonight is already prepared courtesy of my wife who brought lechon paksiw this noon time. I have everything under control. I get the time to play with my daughter, a very rare occasion that can happen to fathers since we like to designate this kind of responsibility to women in the house. I am glad that I am baby sitting my little daughter. This will be an event worth remembering in the years to come.

BED REST FOR TODAY

Today, I am staying here in the house because I am coughing hard and I already have fever added to that. I already informed my supervisor that I will be using my available sick leave for today. I really needed a bed rest. I got this cough during my field work for 2 weeks straight. I never had the chance to stay and sleep in my boarding house because even on Sundays, I have to do my field work.

I am really not accustomed to having field work for 2 weeks straight. It is because I only do field work for 7 days and go home immediately. But this time, I had to complete the field work before I have to go home. Even I am here at home, I am still thinking of my reports that have to be submitted in the main office. I may be resting in the house right now, but my mind is still in the office.

Monday is going to be a hard day for me for my reports. I think I needed to extend beyond 5 pm in the office just to complete my reports. I must complete all the reports before the end of this year. I must not be complacent about about it because our company is evaluating each and everyone of us. I must perform well to this test and have a good standing in the company.

BOUND FOR HOME

Tomorrow is going to be a anexciting day for me. After 15 days of being in the field, its time to go home and see my family. I started traveling last November 8 and now, I'm going home tomorrow at last. I still have to finish some minor work before going straight home. I am sure that my little baby misses me so much.

Upon going home, I think will drop by in the near conveneince store and buy some pasalubong for my wife and kid. I plan to leave by 10 am or 11 so that I will be in tagum city by 5 pm, enough time to play with my little daughter Reese Arabella Rojas.

Yesterday, I saw her video that was upoloaded by my sister-in-law, a video of my daughter sitting down in the chair of a restaurant and playing peek-a-boo with her tita Joy and tita Jane. I really miss my daugthter. My wife told me that our baby knows a lot of tricks already. Maybe I try to test her once I get home. Davao City here I come!

GO FISHING GO

I never expected that I will be hooked to this sport. When I was a kid, me and brothers usually go fishing since our house is near a river. It all started there. We wound go fishing every summer and even take swim in the dark waters of the river at the back of the house. Just last September, me and my friends went fishing. This time, we did not go the river. Instead we went to the beach.

Fishing in salt water is quite different from fishing in fresh water, like the river. There are different strategies and fishing baits to be used. In river fishing, we use earthworms and in the beach, we used small fishes as baits. It is very ideal to fish during early morning, around 5:30 am. It is because fishes would look for food during this hour.

I used to be a fish hunter in the river. But my skill in fishing was not enough in salt water because I am new to it. We are planning again to go fishing this December in Malalag, a small town in Davao Del Sur. I hope I learn much because my skills in fishing will be tested once again.

BIG FIGHT DAY FOR BOXING

Last Saturday fight between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Marquez really made a big impact on all the watchers who attended the sold out MGM Grand Hotel. This is the third time that Manny Pacquiao and Juan Marquez meet in the boxing ring. There is a divided opinion in the fight. many believed that Juan Marquez won the match and other also believed that Manny PAcquiao won the match.

In the betting area, the is a big difference. 1:2 ratio in computed in the betting on the fight in favor of Manny Pacquiao. During the earlier press conference of the match, many believed that there will be a grand end to the rivalry like a knock out or a technical knock out. But the result did not meet the expectation of the people. It ended in the unanimous decision be the judges in their score cards. One judge scored the match a draw and the other two went on Manny Pacquiao side.

Juan Marquez believed that he won the fight clearly by points but not the judges who judge the fight. Because of that, I believed that there will be another match between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Marquez and this one will be the final end to the boxing controversy.

MY SENSITIVE CASE

I was diagnosed with diabetes 2 years ago. Having this illness is not easy for me. I used to weight around 80 kilos and now, I am already 60 kilos. My doctor told me that I must have a proper diet or else my condition will worsen if not properly handled. I have this friend doctor about 10 years already and since he moved to another country, I decided to transfer to another doctor to monitor my case of diabetes.

I am a non-smoker and have been monitoring my condition pretty well. This time, I was told to take Actos, a kind of drug for patients with diabetes. As I continue taking the drug, I noticed that I am experiencing pain in my bladder area. I immediately consulted a specialist and he told me that I have bladder cancer. I was shocked by the turn of events. Form a simple and treatable diabetes, now I have more complicated bladder cancer. My doctor asked me about the medicines that I am taking. I told him about the actos drug. He said to me that the drug that I take can lead to bladder cancer, especially I don't smoke. Immediately, I called up my lawyer and prepare a case against this company. He is actos lawyers who specializes in this kind of cases. My sensitive condition have worsen because of the actos that I took. I am looking forward for justice to my part. And by this case that I filed, I am very confident that justice will be given to me.

Who said that 11-11-11 is a bad day. This morning, Cebu Pacific Airlines just released another seat sale for the month. All domestic air travel will just cost you 11 pesos. This is insane for an airline company. As usual, many online bookings were placed for the air fare promo. Before 11-11-11, I already announced that there will be a seat sale from Cebu Pacific. I even posted it in my Facebook account announcing the sale. Usually, seat sale happens every 12:45 am. Online booking only for this seat sale.

This morning, I got around 5 calls from my friends, asking me for the seat sale if it is still available. I, myself, don't know if the sale is still open since I did not book myself in any flights. I just posted it and people who follow my Facebook account are very lucky to hear the seat sale. Maybe next time again. I will still announcing seat sale. I have a reliable source for the airline company and I would love to share it to you guys.

SUNDAY IS A MARKET DAY

Sunday is considered the most important day of the week because it is the market day of the week. During Sunday, many vendors are in the market selling their products and many customers are also in the market to buy their weekly consumption during Sundays. Like me, I prefer going to the market on Sunday because I know that all the items are present. Unlike in the weekdays where you get few items in the market.

I already bought the grocery items in the market. I still have to go to the market this afternoon so that I can buy the lacking items in the grocery list that I was not able to buy. It may be the best day to buy. But sometimes doing the market in the Sunday can be very tiring because there are many people crowded in the market. You cannot move fast because of the crowd. I am just glad that I am already here in the house, blogging about the things I experience in the market today.

MAKING THE BIG LEAP

I believe that this is going to be the biggest and the most crucial decision I ever going to make. I called up a friend of mine in high school this afternoon. She is a pharmacist and currently working for a generics pharmacy. I called her and ask her if she is willing to be part of my team in the near future. I had a positive response from her.

I have been working for about 10 years already and it seems that nothing challenging happened to me. I thinking of opening a pharmacy or a generics pharmacy or a distribution business in the future. If I make this dream of mine possible, it will be going to be the biggest leap ever. This decision is going to be happening soon. I am just praying that I will be successful in this endevour.

HALLOWEEN TRICK OR TREAT

It's a Halloween season and I am sure there are many ghost stories out there that is worth telling to everyone. This afternoon, me and my office companions were talking about our ghost experiences. Our boss even join the ghost ghost story telling by sharing his own personal experience with ghost. From 3 pm and up to 5 pm, we were telling ghost stories.

Here is my question, are ghosts real? I know many would believe in ghosts once they personally experience one themselves. Here in the Philippines, we are rich with ghost related stories and experiences. I remembered one of my friends who went to corridor, the old camp or fortress during the Japanese invasion. She took some pictures in the place. But when she printed the pictures, she was surprised to see one picture of her with somebody beside her. It was a ghost that appeared in the picture as if he was part of it. Very scary! Because she was so afraid of it, she decided to have the picture razed and have a mass for that soul that appeared in her picture.

There are many places here in the Philippines that are haunted with ghosts. This is what I observed, ghosts like to dwell in old houses that are inhabited by humans. They stay there and make it their own house. In this Halloween season, we should always be cautious in everything that we do. We must consider that aside from us human beings, there are also other being that co-exist with us. We must respect there domain or else, we will be having having problem with this not like ours. Boooooo.

GREAT YEAR FOR FOOTBALL

In a country that is dominated by basketball enthusiast, football or soccer is considered an indigenous sport. I would admit that I like basketball more than any sport. But there is a great hope for the sport soccer here in the country today. Thanks to the famous Philippine Azcals team for making this possible.

Just the other week, I visited a small town in Davao Del Norte for an official field work. I passed by this elementary school. Many children/students were playing soccer, considering it was too hot that day. The soccer field was an open field. The basketball court was covered but no students were playing. Kids were too busy kicking the soccer ball in hot field. There was this one kid that said that he plays soccer because when he grow up, he will able to play with the national team and be part of Philippine Azcals Team. 2011 is a good year for soccer.

I just got home from Davao City. I was driving around 80 km/h just to get here because I am starving. I missed my lunch because I was so tired from driving. I rested around 12 noon and I woke up around 2 pm already. Immediately, I went to the house that I leased to get the food stand inside the house. I waited for any jeep that I can hire to bring the food stand to our house but no avail. I told the renter that I will just come back again tomorrow for the stand.

After there, I went to the house of my brother for a family meeting with my aunts and uncles. It for our Christmas party this coming December. I stayed there for about 2 hours and went home immediately because I needed to drive around 1 hour and a half just to get home. Arriving in Tagum City, I went immediately to the grocery to buy the goods that were not bought this morning in the market. My stomach was already on protest. I tried to buy in food stores inside the mall but nothing was worth my money. So, I went home with the groceries and fetch my wife since she was already done in the office.

The home was the place where I know that I will be able to eat my food. The table was already prepared for me and my wife. I did not wait for my wife because I was already very hungry. Finally I tasted good food cooked in the house. I had soup and vermicelli for dinner. I consumed all the rice in the rice cooker. That is how hungry I am. After my meal, I can say that I am already very full. Thank God I am already home.

HOME COURT ADVANTAGE

I am here in Davao City already. It is really very hard living in another city and you are not familiar with the location. My stay in Manila was a great experience since it was my first time to experience riding the trains that are connecting every city in metro Manila.

Living in Manila for 4 days was not easy unlike living in Hong Kong for 5 days. I have to look at the map all the time and see to it that we were in the right location. With the crowd of people in Manila, no wonder many are getting lost in the city.

When we were going to the airport, I told my wife that it is quite difficult living in a place that was new for the both of us. Upon arrival in Davao City International Airport, I felt that I am safe already since I am in the place where I am home. Living in Manila for 4 days was a great experience for me and I will be returning soon since I have a free flight ticket given to me by a credit card company.

HOME AT THE HOTEL

I just arrive in the hotel with my wife. We had a wonderful 4 days here in Manila. This one of the trips that we are the ones without any companion in a strange place like Manila. We were able to use the train services from the LRT 1, LRT 2 and The MRT 3 transport train. For the passed 4 days, our hotel has become our home. In fairness to the hotel we are staying right now, it is a good place to stay here in Manila. It may not be the most expensive one but it is safe and clean to stay. The good thing I like about our place is that it is near all the train stations and it is very accessible to where we are going.

Tomorrow, our flight back to Davao is around 12 pm and we have to be in the airport station by 11 am so that we won't be late for our flight. We have bought several things as goodies when we get home. I am so tired right now because we went to the Divisoria area in Manila. We have to walk from corner to corner because stalls are everywhere and they are already occupying the main street in Divisoria. We will be arriving in Davao city around 2 pm and immediately, we have to go home because my wife has a meeting in their office. I have to drive again for about 2 hours just to get there.

What I miss in Davao is my little daughter. I am already accustomed to traveling but this is the first time that me and my wife are away from our baby. But since we will be home, I am sure that kisses and hugs will be in the air.

ONLINE MAPS MAKES THE JOB EASIER

Me and my wife are still here in Metro Manila. We are looking for some establishments that we could franchise. We had the map given by the airport information center and some materials for locating. But these things are not as good as what I am using right now. I am using the the services of Google Maps. Thank God this creative map was created. It is because it made our search easier and fast.

Right now, I can identify my current location by just using the Google Map service of Google. com. It is really cool using this map online. Imagine going to a strange place and without any direction device to guide you to your destination. The Google Map is really helpful for tourist like and my wife. Before going to a location, we use Google Map to search for the establishment that we are looking for.

Google Map is not just a map, it also gives directional guide , like transport services that we can use for us to reach our desired destination. Google map can also be access using Smart Android phone. This is the phone that my wife using right now. We don't need to open our laptop always to access Google Map. The Phone will be a convenient one to use. With Google Map around, we are sure that we will reach our destination on time and easy.

LONG HIKE HERE IN MANILA

Its our second day here in Manila and we are still familiarizing the city. In the morning, we had a walk from Avenida going to Ong Pin and back again. But before that we went to Quiapo church and heard the mass. The place was so much crowded with people in Quiapo Church. We bought some sampaguita flowers and gave it to the Black Nazarene at the back portion of the church. After hearing the mass, we went back to the hotel where we are staying and checked out. We immediately transferred to another hotel that is also in Avenida street.

It is already around 2 pm when we went again to another famous shopping area here in Manila, Divisoria. We went inside this mall that is full of stores selling their products. From bags to gadgets are all here. We roam around and bought some personal and pasalubong items for our family back home. We also bought a bracelet for our baby, Reese Arabella. From 1,500 original price, we got it by 500 pesos only. That is already a good price and we bought it immediately. We also bought some Eng Bee Tin products like hopia and ampao.

We went home by riding a public utility jeepney. I was afraid that we might not find our way home, just kidding. If I will stay here in Manila for just 3 weeks, I am very confident that I will be familiarized with the streets and highways. The only thing that I don't like about Manila is the high cost of food. In every meal, we would spend around 2oo pesos for our meal. Back home, 200 pesos is already good for the entire day's meal.

We did not ride a taxi today so that we will be able to save from the transportation expense. By tomorrow, we will be riding the Light Rail Transit or LRT. We will be looking for suppliers for our planned business. It will be a tiring day tomorrow and I guess we need to rest for the hard day by tomorrow.

HERE IN MANILA AT LAST

Me and wife are in Manila right now for a business trip. We have decided to find some principal companies that we can market way back home. We arrived around 12:15 and proceeded immediately to the Mall of Asia (MOA). From the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, it took us around 45 minutes to reach to the SM MALL OF ASIA. It is really hard to go to the city without a vehicle because riding a taxi is quite expensive. Just going to the MOA, it cost around 200 pesos just for that ride.

Right now, me and my wife are in Sta. Cruz Manila. This is the heart of Manila already. The place is quite old for a super city like Manila. We are staying right here in a budget hotel with my wife. This is the best place in the city since all of the establishments are already here. The hotel that we are staying is good hotel. It has a reputation beyond excellence. We are here at the 6th floor of the commercial building. The only sad thing about this place it that we don't have any window to look at the view outside.

For tonight, we already bought a pizza at Sbarro pizza restaurant in the Mall of Asia. We will just be staying in our room for tonight. We already have a map given at the airport for free. We will be planning for tonight and the map will be very useful in going in and out of the city. We just need to get familiarized with the streets and landmarks and everything will be okay for the both of us.

Even here in Manila, my mind is still back in Davao city because my little angel Reese Arabella is left at home. Me and my wife surely misses her so much. We will be home by Wednesday. Good thing there is a 3G connection for we will be talking at her later on tonight.

3RD YEAR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Me and my wife just celebrated our third year wedding anniversary last October 11. It was just an ordinary celebration. Instead of cooking in the house, we opted to go and have a dine out with our baby. Around 8 pm, we went to Miko's Brew here in Tagum City. We planned to have a durian fest after the dinner but that did not materialized because of some unforeseen event in the office of my wife. But thank God everything went smoothly. I did not give her any flowers. Just my mere presence was already enough she said.

As part of our post wedding anniversary celebration, we will be going to Manila. It will be a leisure trip and at the same time a business trip as well. We will be searching for suppliers for our planned business. Manila is the best place to search for suppliers since most of the companies are there. We are leaving by Saturday around 11 am and we will be coming home by Wednesday, the following week. We will not be bringing Ara because it would be easier for our part since we will be doing walks in Manila. We still don't know where we will be staying the once we arrive. Good thing my wife has this Smart phone that we can use to navigate and search for nearby hotels and inns where we can stay. Its really cool since we don't know where we are going. Just like our trip in Hong Kong where we did not have any itinerary we just follow our instincts in Hong Kong.

Im in my field work right now and I have to be home by Friday since we will be traveling to Davao and the following day, we will be in Manila. For sure, we will be missing our little angel, Reese Arabella P. Rojas since this is the first time both of us are away for a long 4 days.

PREPARING FOR MONDAY

I am preparing for Monday because its a sports fest day in our company. Last Monday, me and my partner had a badminton match against our Sun Pride friends. It was a close match but we won that match. According to the badminton coordinator, we already have another scheduled match against another sun pride team. We now belong in the winners category and the games will be more exciting.

My partner is now practicing while I am here doing my field work. I need to practice my smashes and dropping styles because as I observed during our last match, it was the key points in our strategy that made us win the match. We are confident that we will win another game but we must not be over confident in our capacity or else we might not reach the third round of the badminton match.

I am here in Digos City where I am doing my field work for the month of October. For tonight, I am having a special meal. I am having fried intestines, mongo soup and coke with two rice. This is a meal that I really save a lot and my tummy is full. For this meal, I only spent around 35 pesos and that's a lot of saving for me.

For tomorrow, I am planing to have barbecue and rice. This is another budget friendly meal that I am going to have in my second night here in Digos City. It very important for me to save on my meals because I usually spent almost 100 pesos per meal. This time I am controlling my taste buds and not indulge in high cost meal. Actually, I am on diet right now. Less food for me means good diet and health pocket.

WE WON THE MATCH

Our company is holding a sports fest right now and we are still in the elimination part of the sports fest. Tonight, me and my office mate, Sharon, we scheduled to face a team from the Sun Pride Foods. This company is our sister company. We were scheduled to play a badminton match. I was very confident that we will win the match because I saw the list of players that we were supposed to meet. But I was not expecting for a replacement player for the player that we wished to be our opponent.

We were scheduled for the forth match of the night. We were already practicing our smashes and drop shots when I noticed my shoe was loosing its grip or my shoes are not fir for the match. Thanks to the ever nearby friends who lend me his slippers.

It was a slow start for us. It was like testing the water for both teams. But in the middle of the game, our level of gameness elevated to the point that we were too eager to smash the shuttle cock and hit it has hard as we can. The final score of the badminton match was 31-21 in favor of our team. I think I really need to make some series of practice with my partner so that we can get to feel each other and prepare for the upcoming matches.

REESE ARABELLA'S BIG DAY

This is my little Reese Arabella P. Rojas during her birthday celebration last July 5, 2011. Ara's birthday was a big success thanks to the people who made it possible....Mom and Dad. Ara's birthday was themed little fairy princess. My daughter was wearing a Tinkerbell costume. We thought that she would not be wearing this costume because our tailor that we commissioned to make the costume did not complied to the dateline. We immediately looked for another dress maker to make the costume. We, parents, were so much tense during that day. It is our child's first birthday. Thank God everything went smoothly as planned.

I AM A BUS RIDER

Everyday, I always use the services offered by bus companies for my daily transporting needs. It is because I am living here in Tagum City and I have to work in Davao City. From Tagum City to Davao City, it would take around 45 minutes to an hour bus ride. Depending on the traffic, sometimes travel time goes beyond an hour travel.

There are two bus companies that I avail of their transport service. These are Metro Shuttle and Bachelors Express. Metro Shuttle charges 52 pesos for the SP rate and 65 for the regular rate. This amount is for their non-air conditioned buses. For their Air Conditioned buses, fare is 116 pesos. For the bachelors Express, 65 for non Air Conditioned buses and 11o for their air conditioned units.

I prefer to ride the Metro Shuttle for the bus company charges low fares unlike the Bachelors Express bus. But when I am in a hurry, the Bachelors Express is an ideal way to travel from Tagum City to Davao City. Before, I really feel tired riding the bus. But now, I have already adopted the daily routine of riding a bus. I am a bus rider everyday.

BIGGER SHOES PLEASE

I would admit that my daughter is big compared to other kids on her age. Just the other day, I went to the mall to buy her new shoes. Her slipper shows was already nearing its usable life and I she must have a replacement for that. Normally, kids would uses 21-22 size shoes and slippers but not my little baby.

Her size is now already 25 and that is already in the toddler department. My baby is just 1 year and 2 months old. She is quite big for her size. The doctor told us that her condition is just normal. Nothing to worry about. It was best for her since she gets sick easily. When I buy shoes and slippers for her, I always make sure that I get to order the bigger size just make it fit for my daughter's feet.

FISHING IN THE SEA

Me and my office buddies are planning on an exciting experience and that is...we are going to a beach resort and do fishing. We are all inexperience fishing people and this is our first time to do this. I have tried fishing but the venue was not on a beach. I do fishing at the river located at the back of our house. This is going to be a fun and exciting experience for all of us.

We plan to go there next Saturday and early Sunday, our fishing expedition will start. According to the locals in the area, morning is the best hour to do fishing since the fishes in the sea are all near the coast. It won't be a problem for people who are not experienced fisherman. I am already excited about our plan trip. I also bought my fishing line, hook and other things that we will be needing during the fishing expedition.

ARA LOVES DORA THE EXPLORER

When my daughter was already 7 months old, we noticed that she can already recognize things and even stuff toys that she plays with. But among her toys, one stuff toy stand out among others and that is her Dora the Explorer stuff toy. Ara loves her Dora stuff toy because when we touch her toy Dora, she would cry. Even when she goes to bed, her Dora must be beside her or else, sleeping time will be extended.

Ara is so fond with Dora the explorer. Her pillows are all marked with Dora. She hugs her Dora stuff toy often and she never lets her Dora out of her sight. Now that Ara is already 1 year old and 2 months, still she is very delighted to see and hug her Dora the explorer stuff toy. Her first balloon is also marked with Dora. I guess the Dora fever really lingers in every child.

Three years ago, my sister migrated to the United States of America. She is a nurse by profession and was immediately employed in a private hospital. For a year and a half, my sister worked there as a nurse. We always make sure that we call each other at least once everyday. In the middle of 2009, my sister told me that she is already tired working in the hospital and she wanted to shift to a new career. After a week, she called up again and told me that she wanted to become a beautician. I now that beauticians earn big but I was not expecting that from my sister who has top the nursing board examination.

But I respect her decision because I love her. She told me she was going to enroll at a beauty school and learn how to make a person beautiful. PLASTIC BALLOON IS BETTER THAN RUBBER

Last Sunday, me, my wife and our baby went to this park where durian fruits are sold everywhere. As we were eating durian, I noticed my little baby very happy to see a balloon as the man was selling it in the park area. My little angel always points at the balloon and follows the man everywhere he goes. That is why a hug my angel and I bought her a balloon. It is really very nice to see the joy that a balloon brings to my little Ara.

My wife told me that a plastic balloon can hold helium longer compared to a rubber balloon. I am accustomed to buy rubber balloon and plastic is a new one to me. Its already 5 days and still the balloon is still flying. I can really say that a plastic balloon is better than a rubber balloon.

Just arrive safely from my field work in General Santos City, the city where Shamcey Supsup was born. Well, enough of that. I was greeted by my little baby, Reese Arabella. She is already 1 yr and 2 months. I am very surprise to see that she already knows where her nose is. She was watching television when I arrive at home. Every night, me and my wife always talk about the things that our little angel must learn. It is our rule in the house not to mention and speak any bad words because Ara is learning fast and she might get something that is nothing.

Every time I am away, I always ask my wife about our little angel. Maybe I just don't want to miss the things that my little angel learns everyday. The Philippines is facing a lot of calamities, including floods, typhoons and landslides. Maybe the president needs to visit areas here in the Philippines that are in deep need of his presidential fund. But giving someting that your country needs more is sometihing to think about.

Just the other week, I was having problem with my old cellular phone because I cannot contact my wife. As I passed by the cellular phone shop, I noticed this Nokia phone that was being offered. It was Nokia X1-01. After looking at it, I decided to buy it. The unit only cost around 1,800 pesos and it is already a best buy for me.

My Nokia X1-01 may not be the most modern cellular phone in the market but I love its features. It has a dual sim standby mode, it has an expandable memory up to 16 gig, user friendly and has cool features not available in my old phone. I also bought this X1-01 protector so that my phone will always be free from scratches and unwanted marks. What I like about this Nokia X1-01 is that the battery life reaches up to 4-5 days. I play most of the time music and my phone still can survive the days that I mentioned without short charging. I only acquired a 1 gig memory card. But I am planning to upgrade to 16 gig in the coming days so that I can add more songs in my MP3 file in my Nokia X10-01.

I am still exploring my Nokia X1-01 phone and I am still amazed by the features of the phone. The sad things of this phone is that no camera was installed in the phone. But I can live with that.

FREE RIDE

It is confirmed that tomorrow is national transport strike. I already called my brother and asked for a free ride going to Davao City since there will be no public transport for tomorrow. He said yes, so I have my free ride for tomorrow. I must be in their house before 7 am because that is the time he leaves his house and bound to Davao City. I have already prepared all my things that I will be bringing tomorrow.

In the afternoon, after 5 pm I will also be riding with my brother back to Davao City. When there is a public transport strike, all public utility vehicles are not going to roll their wheels. They always participate in the public transport strike. A public transport strike happens when there is an increase in oil/fuel prices. It is very inconvenient when there is a public transport strike.

NO RIDE NO WORK

There is a report that this Monday, there will be a nationwide transport strike. Usually the strike happens around 8 am to 5 pm. Transport strike happens when bus and jeepney operators request for an additional transportation fare hike and they also protest the constant increase on the oil prices, particularly the diesel oil for it is the one used in public transportation.

But even there is a transport strike, we people working still needs to go the office and do our jobs. It would be great to have a policy of no ride, no work policy by the government. But this is just a product of my imagination. I guess I have to wake up early tomorrow or else I would be left behind with no ride going to the office.

I always make sure that when I am in the house, my attention is always in my little precious daughter. We play and laugh together. I feed her and give her milk, since she still wants it. And after, its play time once again. Its a bonding time for the both of us. While reading a book, I asked my daughter whats her name and she answered "ARA". Its so funny to hear but it brings joy to my ears. My daughter is growing and is learning new things. I am just happy to be around to hear her speak out her name. Call me a stage father because I am. I just want to spend more time with her since she will only pass this stage once.

Me and my wife are both doing our part is teaching our daughter things that she must know and learn. Aide from her three letter name, she also knows the fruit banana and she calls it "NANA". Every time I point my fingers to the banana she will always say "NANA". Well, that's part of growing.

I was on my way to Tagum City on board the public utility bus. The bus has this television inside but the channel was not clear. I thought it was another pirated movie playing but it was not. The 2011 Miss Universe was on show. Well, since there is no other movie better to have something to watch than just wait and sit on a hour trip going to Tagum City.

It was already on the top 5 finalist. Countries were miss China, Ukraine, Brazil (host country), Philippines (my bet) and Angola. I am a Filipino and miss Philippines is my choice to win the prestigious award because the country is in drought for about 40 years already for the Miss Universe crown. Last year was a close one and this time was closer.

I was on full alert when the top countries were called. I was so eager to hear who will win the 2011 Miss Universe crown. Among the 5 countries, Miss Angola was the one chosen to become the 2011 Miss Universe. She was very pretty and answered her question very well. Brazil and the Ukraine landed bronze and silver awards. Congratulations Miss Angola for winning the Miss Universe 2011. She deserve it really.

CALLING CARDS IS A MUST

I was doing my field work when a customers asked for my calling card. I reached to my pocket but there was no more calling card available to give. Every time I am on a field work, I always make sure that I have my calling card with me because it is a must when you are a field personnel. My customers can reached my personal number with the use of my calling card. Since there was no more available, I just wrote my number on a piece of paper and gave it to the customer. I already called the main office in Cebu and requested my calling cards.

Hopefully by next week, my calling card will be in the office already because I have a schedule trip to the provinces and the calling cards will be handy thing to bring and give to the customers that I will meet. According to the coordinator, the calling cards will be available on Friday, enough time before my travel period on Monday next week.

SLEEPLESS IN THE ROOM

I cannot sleep right now because my baby is experiencing uneasiness right now. I suspect that her teeth are growing right now. She usually vomits and her bowels are loose. I cannot afford to sleep while my little baby is in pain right now. I already gave her a medicine for vomiting so that no gas build ups in her stomach after she vomits.

My wife is beside our baby, assisting her so that she can sleep. I guess I have to stay up until morning because we plan again to admit our baby to the hospital due to her vomiting and LBM concerns.

BABY EMERGENCY

I was so busy this week because of an emergency. My daughter was rushed to the hospital last Monday night due to acquired asthma. Our family has never any history of asthma and my wife's family too. But we were all surprise to know that our little angel has one.

Early Monday afternoon, my wife called me and said that our baby is sick due to cough. My baby has a cough for 3 weeks already but we just thought that it was just a passing cough but we were wrong about. We miss calculated the cough. It was exactly around 11: 30 in the evening when we rushed Reese Arabella to Tagum Doctors Hospital.

Initial finding was she has pneumonia but it went to asthma. Immediately, our baby was injected with dextrose. The problem was that , our baby was too big to find the veins where the needle to hit. It took around 3 time before the nurse hit the vein. After the dextrose was placed, our daughter was nebulized for her cough to calm down. My daughter was crying like there was no tomorrow. It so painful to see your little baby admitted in the hospital. But it was needed for her to get well.

Currently, we are still admitted in the hospital but we are planning to go to Davao City for a thorough check up on her status. Its our fith day right now and we are a little bit confuse with the findings in the hospital that we are in right now. I am hoping that my baby gets well because she is a good one and a blessing to us.

The Philippines used to be one of the most powerful country in Asia and even the world during the the 1950's. But all things have its end. Good things can turn bad if not handled well. This is what happened to the Philippines right now. Once a powerful country now a poor one. Corruption is the main cause of the Philippines deterioration in the world. The people elected people who are robbers and evil. It is sad to see the country right now. I cannot distance myself from the scene because I am touched when I am blogging this point of view.

I was born in the 80's the year where Martial Law was in order and democracy is slowing closing it for the kill. It was a year of victory because the people overthrow the dictator...Are we totally liberated? I guess not. We are still trap in the mud of the past and getting out of the mud is hard for the people.

The current government of the Aquino administration is trying its best to uplift the lives of the people and exterminating corruption. It is very difficult to get corruption out because during an election, we don't elect from the good men, But we elect those who are lesser evil. Politicians in the Philippines are corrupt and that is a fact. It is very hard to move on because the people who are elected leaders are guiding us towards hell rather than in heaven.

This is about time that the government should think on how to increase the cash inflow and not relying on the dollar remittances of OFWs abroad. There is still hope for the country. Have a treasure not present in the Arab countries. We have our natural resources that we can tap right now. We have oil deposits in Palawan. But the government is too busy on the taxing job rather that finding the liquid gold of the country. The Philippines ranks high in gold deposits and even silver deposit. Too sad, the Philippines is going down with these things inside her sleeves.

HAVE MY OWN BUSINESS

This morning, when I woke up, I was thinking of what cool business that I could put up. You know, working in a company is for about 10 years is something that I like but I also would like to get out of my comfort zone and try new things and starting a business will be a good start for me. May be the talks that we had with my wife really entered to my deepest thoughts and continued when I am sleeping. But seriously, it would be a great chance to try something new.

Every night, my wife and I talk about the type of business that we wanted to put up, especially now that our family is growing. Having a day job is not enough when you have kids around you. Just thinking about enrolling to school sounds scary to me. having a business is a risk and we need to take the risk in order to be successful in life.

Honestly, I am scared about doing this but I guess I need to do it or else, I would miss the chance of doing it for the rest of my life. I hate the word regret...

MY BIG DAY

Today, I am officially 31 years old. My age is nearing its end in every calendar but I am not worried about it. Maybe I am just kidding around but seriously I am more eager to do things right now than before. I have decided to make a big leap in my life and that is by doing more productive things and not just playing around. I would like to thank the people that greeted me on my birthday. It is so nice to be remembered by friends and family on your big day. Aside from my birthday, it is also fathers day celebration.

To start the day right, Me and my wife went to the public market and bought some things that we will be cooking later on in the house. At exactly, 11:30 pm, the foods were already prepared. I called my brother, who also lives in Tagum City, and my neighbors. I also gave some foods to those near our house. It was a small celebration but a warm one.

After the eating ceremony in the house, me, my wife and baby went to the church to hear the mass. After the mass, we had our car blessed by the priest to make the car safe to travel. It was a busy day and all the things that needs to be accomplish were accomplished.

Many beleived that Lebron James was the next big thing just like Michael Jordan. Scottie Pippen even gave his professional view about Lebron James and he said that Lebron James might be the best player that played the game of basketball and not Michael Jordan.

At the start of the game, Lebron James proved to be the best player. He average in double digits in the scoring department. With a wife body frame like Lebron James had, rebounds and blocking shots was not a problem for him. He showed the entire watching crowd, especially in Cleveland, that he is the best.

As the playoff started, Lebron James and team mates were really a force. They destroyed teams like the Orlando Magic, Boston Celtics and the Chicago Bulls. In these games played, Lebron James was a powerful, dominating and determined player. He was more determined to win compared to his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers. His presence in the court together with Dwane Wade and Chris Bosh was like a match made to win.

As expected, Lebron James dominated the eastern conference. The match with the Chicago Bulls was too easy for the Miami Heat. They were unstoppable the Big Three. They were already ready to face the western conference champions the Dallas Mavericks.

Game 3: Is a redemption day for Lebron James as the Miami Heat blazed the Dallas Mavericks in their home court. Many believed that Lebron James was unstoppable with the performance that he showed to the crowd in Dallas.

Game 4: This is the game were Lebron James did not exist. He scored 8 points in the game and bare recorded in the scoreboard. Lebron James did not performed well in the game. This time, Jason Kidd was guarding Lebron James.

Game 5: Lebron James made a statement after the game 4 poor performance that he will redeem himself in this game 5. Lebron James made a triple double in scoring, rebound and assist. But still was not enough to lift the Miami Heat to win the game.

Game 6: Game returns to the Miami Heat. It was a do or die game for the Miami Heat. Lebron James was expected to perform but still short of the expectations of the people. The Dallas Mavericks was too much for the Miami Heat. Lebron James was still questioned in his performance.

Scottie Pippen should not compare Lebron James with his ex-partner, Michael Jordan. Scottie Pippen will never be famous without Michael Jordan and that is a fact. Lebron James should try to remove the finals jinks on him. He is a talented player and well paid for that. He should dominate and not allow the other defender to impose and dance to his tune. 2012 NBA will be a good start for Lebron James. By this time, Lebron James will understand the word: Teamwork.

The game 6 of the NBA championships between the Dallas Mavericks and the Miami Heat was a veterans versus upcoming superstars match. For the Dallas Mavericks, it was the last game that they must take to achieve their first ever championships. Going back to the past in 2006, the Miami Heat defeated the Dallas Mavericks with Shaquile O'Neal and Dwane Wade tandem. This 2011, the Mavs were more determined to get the tittle.

This is a sad event that happened to our family 3 years ago. My sister was already due for baby delivery when her seizure attacked her. We are no longer new to this because this was her second child ans even before she had seizures attacked. I have been in the logo making business for about 5 years already. Most of my clients would visit my shop and then tell me the details about the logo that they want me to create for them. I recently visited my sister-in-law in the hospital this morning. She is currently in her second trimester of her pregnancy and a routine check up on the baby is much required by her doctor. My brother requested me to accompany her because he has an important meeting to attend to. As I enter the hospital, I was told by the station nurse to visit the supply room for my Hospital Scrub Uniform that I will be using while I am inside the hospital premises. They require hospital visitors who are visiting the hospital, especially the maternity wing, to wear the scrub to make the visitor sterile and clean.

I saw many type of Nursing Scrubs inside the supply department of the hospital. I thought I would have difficulty in finding my size because I have a big built. To my surprise, my size was just there and available. All of the visitors of the maternity wing are required to wear the scrub uniform. After wearing the scrub, I have to return it to the supply room for their cleaning. Wearing the medical scrub really feels good to use. I guess I have to get use to on wearing this uniform scrub because for the coming weeks I will still be the one to accompany my sister-in-law to the hospital for her monthly check-ups.

Goodbye Friendster, that is what the administrators of the site said yesterday. The social networking site that has 20 million users in the Philippines alone will officially call it off. The site has been defeated by Facebook. Friendster won't totally be gone away. It will just change its looks and purpose. It will be more of musics and videos only.

According to the administrator, user might well make a backup of their uploaded pictures and save it on flicker and other online storage. Most pictures and messages will be deleted by the administrator once they reach May 31 as said. Facebook has dominated the social networking sites right now and Friendster administrator knows this. It is a sad goodbye but its not the end of the site.

This week for Christians is a blessed week. It is the holy week and many Christians would visit their church to pray, reflect and seek the guidance of God. The holy week is considered the longest holiday for Christians and many are already preparing for their holy week madness for the season.

The beaches are packed with thousands of people who are looking for a place to gather all the family and friends. Just this week, local beach resorts are fully booked by locals and even foreigners who are looking for a place for the holy week. The traditional passion, seven last words and visita iglesia are still present but many would prefer the beach because it is very hot.

But for our family, we would just stay at home and observed the holy week. No beaches until easter Sunday. It is also accustomed that on holy week, pork meat are prohibited because of fasting and penance for the week. I haven't put ashes on my forehead so I am excused with the meat eating prohibition.

BILLS PAYMENT ON ATM BOOTH

My wife called me this evening and informed that she was not able to pay her credit card bill. The due date of the card is today and she has to pay or else she will have to pay for the surcharge from the bank. The surcharge usually range from 3.5% to 5% depending on the credit card company.

My wife directed me to go the ATM booth and pay for the card. I do have a credit card too and I usually pay on the counter and not on the machine. Since this is my first time to pay on an ATM booth, so I give it a try. The bills payment on an ATM booth is easy. Honestly, I was afraid that I might go wrong and press the wrong button on the machine. But I guess I conquered my fear on paying and using the bills payment option on the machine.

My wife always laugh at me because I am still using the traditional way of paying credit cards. But I guess this is far more easier and fast than going through the long lines of waiting. I will try next time paying my own credit card using the bills payment on the ATM booth next month. Banking today is far more easier than before.

BABY IS FINE

The baby is fine that was what my wife told me this evening because two days ago, our baby was not feeling well. We immediately seek medical attention for her by going to her pediatrician. We were advised to have the baby's stool and urine examined so that the doctor would have the right decision. My wife wanted the baby to be admitted because she was scarred by the baby's condition. Our baby would let out of her bowels at least 4 times a day and that is very scary for dehydration. And fecal of the baby is loose and wet. My wife was scarred about that. I was more firm than my wife. Fathers have the instinct of being firm and more scientific than emotional.

I waited 6 hours in the hospital for the results of the stool and urine examinations. After receiving the results, I asked the medical technologist about the result. She told me that the examinations conducted to our baby showed negative of any problem. But she still said that we have to present the results to the doctor for proper medical care.

I am so happy about the results. My vacation leaves were rewarded well with the results. After the doctors prescription, we immediately went home to rest. the 2 days of medical check up of my baby were very stressful to me. I cannot sleep and I feared that my baby would be admitted in the hospital. Thanks God she is okay.

ROAD TRIP

Road Trip is the term that I use when I go to the provinces for my field work. Right now, I have a schedule trip going to the provinces of Davao Del Sur. I will stay there for about 3 days and on Saturday, I'm on my way home. Road Trip is a monthly event for me. This is the only time I get to travel and the good thing about my road trip is that all expenses are paid by the company that employs me. The usual number of days for my road trip is 6 days but on some days, 3 to 4 days will be enough for the road trip schedule.

Before the official travel, I have to prepare for my Itinerary of Travel. My itinerary will be approved by my supervisor then I will go to the cashier for the cash that will be use for the entire trip. The money that I will be carrying will be liquidated upon return. Failure on my part do so would mean something is wrong with me. But for the 10 years of my work here, I never miss the liquidation part.

I enjoy the road trip because every trip is a learning experience for me. I will surely miss this road trip when I leave this company. But for now, I just have to enjoy the road trip and learn more things as I travel.

NEW ROOM FOR THE BABY

My baby is already nine months old and soon, she will be needing her own room. Me and my wife are discussing every night before we sleep about the right time for the baby to separate from us and a new room for the baby is very much needed. my wife wanted the baby to stay in our room for about 5 year old. That's fine but a baby must have her own room as soon as possible. Currently, our house has three rooms available. The first room is occupied by us and the second room is occupied by our helper. The third room is idle and is only used for storage and I think it would be the best room for our baby. I already made arrangements with the Floor contractor who will handle the room preparation. I also have selected the color of the room for the baby and the cabinets that will be made inside the room. For more reference, I also looked at several home designs so that I would have more ideas on what to put inside the new room for the baby.

According to the contractor, the room will have no delay in the improvement because the room is perfectly maintained. The paint inside the room needed no retouch because it is still clear and clean. he only told me to buy some room varnish for the cabinets to look good. It would only take around 2 weeks for the preparation until the varnish smell will wear off before the baby will move in.

LEGO TOY FOR THE BIG BOY

Lego toy for the big boy, this what I was think when I was inside a toy shop. Lego has been around for a long time already and still the Lego toy has still an impact to adults. I remembered before I used to play this big toy with a childhood friend in their house. We make castles and spaceships with the use of Lego. Its very interesting to see again the brick toy once more. When I was inside the store, a father with his son was looking at the game toy and was very eager on buying it. The father must be very happy about it and will pass the Lego fever to his son.

Lego is a very creative toy. For a child of 4 years old, Lego toy stimulates the child fantasy to create things with the use of the toy. Just be careful that the toy won't be swallowed by the kid because the Lego toy is very small and can choke a child once place inside his/her mouth. My child is still young and Lego toy is just a no no for her. maybe in a year and a half, Lego will be nice for. But since I am still a kid at heart, A Lego toy is best fit for this big boy.

I was in a wedding this evening of my wife's cousin. The wedding was a simple ceremony, only close relatives were called to witness the event. The wedding started around 2:30 pm. Me and my wife were assigned for the veil of the bride and groom. It was a Christian wedding held at St. Jude Thaddeus. Unfortunately, me and my wife was not able to march the aisle because we were late. But we were still able to do the veil for the bride and groom.

After the church, we went to the reception area at Garden Oases at Obrero street. At the event area, I immediately noticed this lady doing the hosting for the event. I also noticed her at the church at the podium. She was an event coordinator and the wedding was her project. She was also the master of ceremonies. She was doing all the talking in the event. it was already the start of the eating portion when my wife told me that I will be the one to do the prayer before meals. I cannot decline because I was requested by the bride's brother to do the prayer.

In the entire wedding, I was thing that an event coordinator is a good sideline in these days. It is easy and planning for an event is easy when you have the skills of doing it. An event coordinator charge clients the minimum amount of 20,000 pesos and that a good money. Planning for an event would only take around 2 weeks and start implementing it. I feel that it is a lucrative business and I am willing to start doing it. Just for a career change.

Coffee is the second most traded item in the world. The first is gold then coffee. No wonder many people drink coffee during their break time and even during work. There are many benefits when we drink coffee. It speed up the metabolism of our body and it promotes good health to women who drink coffee. It has been recommend that a cup of coffee a day is already enough and beneficial to all. In excess of that is too much already.

I am always a milk lover. coffee for me before was just a drink for the oldies. When I started working, my officemates always drink their coffee and encourage me to try it. Coffee was the drink that I rarely try but since I wanted to explore the beneficial properties of coffee, I tried it. At first, it was just a sweet bitter taste of coffee. I cannot appreciate why people drink this bitter tasting drink. I tried one cup and then another. The rest is history after then.

Once I arrived in the office, I drink my coffee immediately because I feel good when I drink coffee. I am alert always and I can work without any rest at all, that's just too much ah. But honestly, I already like coffee. Coffee for all is very recommended.

I am a night blogger. I do the blogging every night because I cannot just blog in the office because I am paid to work and not just to blog. Blogging is very exciting. While blogging at night, I use my computer lamp that I bought 1 month ago in a computer accessories store in the mall. I just finished my editing when I decided to check my Adsense account. To my surprise, today's earnings is 1.40 dollars. This is the first time that my earnings reach this high. I was reading about an article regarding entrepreneurship regarding establishing your own business. After reading the article, I was moved by the idea that I can start my own business and be the boss of my own company. Currently, I am into blogging and online writing. I believe that I can excel in this department. I am the only one writing for every task given to me but there are also times that I request for help from my wife to assist me in the postings.

I have 10 blogs that I maintained and update daily. Among the blogs that I have, I like the gossip blog that I created because it attracts more visitors compared to my other blogs. This gossip blog is made for the purpose of adsense by Google. It is generating bucks and it is doing pretty well. I intend to hire more bloggers to help me in the postings. I tried this once as I hired one person to make recipes for me and I post it in my recipe blog.

I have a new blog that i want to share to you guys. The title of the blog is Happy Hollywood. This blog is more focus on the Hollywood celebrities, their life story and their daily happenings. All the things that i write in this blog is totally my own idea. Before i make a post, I make sure that I read in other blogs that I can use as reference.

This is still a young blog. But i believe that in a few months from now, this blog will become known in all search engines there is. There are few posts made but this is not yet the end of my post, especially for this blog.

PARTY HERE WE COME

in a few minutes from now, we will be going to the house of our officemate, Joland, to attend to his child's birthday party. how bad of me, I was not able to buy anything for his son. I will just patch things by giving a gift later on. I already changed to my polo shirt and ready to go.

Many officemates will be going to the birthday party. But I don't intend to stay long because I have to go home in tagum city, a hour trip and my wife is waiting for me in our house. I believe going to the party makes me look how to organize such event because in a few months from now, my daughter will be celebrating her first birthday too. I have to prepare for the big event. Party here we come!

I'M TOO OLD FOR THIS

I'm too old for this. I was informed by my officemate that there will be a children's party at his house in celebration of his son's first birthday. Aside from me, my other office companions will also be coming to the party after our office at 5 pm. My daughter was also invited but since she is in Tagum City. I guess I have to go there on my own.

Since I will going to the party, I won't be bringing my things tomorrow to avoid to much burden of carrying things with me as I go home tomorrow. The children's party is a must when a child turns one. My daughter will be celebrating her first birthday on July 5 and that would be a big event for her.

OPPORTUNITY ABROAD

My sister in law told me yesterday that she is planning to go abroad to work there. She will tender her resignation by May this year and will go straight to Singapore to seek a better opportunity there. Her twin sister has already moved to Singapore and has job there in an engineering firm. My officemate also is eying to go abroad to work there. I guess working abroad is the "in" thing right now. Earn big and send it in their families living here in the Philippines.

There are many sites right now that offer work abroad. Local recruitment agencies are still looking for applicants to fill job openings in several Arabian countries and even in south east Asian countries. The requirement to be able to work abroad is that the applicant must be skilled or has a good work experience.

The most in demand jobs abroad are chefs, carpenters, masons, butchers, engineers, welders, accountants, nurses and even midwives. Aside from the professions mentioned, there are still other more. Job Placement in the recruitment agency will display more jobs that needed to filled with skilled people.

CHANGE FOR GOOD

I just finished reading the life story of Muammar Gaddafi of Libya. If it is right to question why such person allowed to exist in the world. He is a complete threat to the security of the world and the coming years to come. The current scenario in Libya only shows that Muammar Gaddafi is not a good leader for a country. He has maintained ties with famous evil men in the world and orchestrated many crimes and even killing people who are paying pilgrimage to Mecca, holy city. A change for good in Libya is an urgent call to all the people. Libyans should act or else they would suffer for the years to come.

Muammar Gaddafi has even helped finance the extreme rebels here in the Philippines, who are hiding in the clock of well fair of the people. Followers of Gaddafi are too blind to see the details and they only see is the amount of money that Gaddafi gives them. He has two personalities and both personalities are evil. Let's make this world a better place to live in and the would mean without Muammar Gaddafi on this planet. he should pay for the crimes that he has committed.

JAPAN NEEDS OUR HELP

I was monitoring the news about Japan Tsunami and I felt there is a urgent need for help. many people living in Sendai, Japan are in need of help. The current scenario is that aside from the the tsunami, there is a another threat of a nuclear melt down and that is scary not just in Japan but also in the world. In the evacuation centers, many citizens are in need of food and clothing because many where unaware of the event to be catastrophic, they left their clothing behind just to getaway from the danger zone. Currently, many countries around the world are helping Japan in terms of search and rescue and food and clothing. But they still need help.

NUKE SCARE

After the report that showed the nuclear explosion in Japan, many locals are scared about the possibility of radiation in many countries, especially the Philippines. In todays report, there might be a radiation spill and that can be worse of all.

Many people are taking advantage about the situation and sending many sms to their friends about the nuke meltdown effect. I think it is not good to make such false news because it is not doing any good at all. Facebook users are very vigilant about the scary news that is transmitted online from one user to another. We should be helping each other in times of calamities like these and not to create false news for gain or advantage.

This is Reese at 8 months already. Her two teeth below is starting to grow. I was told that my wife that she is starting to crawl and stand on her own legs. Wonderful. Her hair is starting to grow.

She really can pose with the camera. This was taken when me and my wife were bonding in the bed on Sunday. Hmmm. I can see the wacky side of my daughter. This was really fun for a bonding moment.

NEW RESTAURANT LOGO

My friend has a restaurant and he wanted to have a new logo for the store. He added that he wanted a fresh new look for the restaurant since he already changed the old name to a new one. I wanted me to make the logo for the restaurant since I have friends who are gifted in the skill of logo making. The restaurant will be opening on the end of March and the logo must be created before the opening of the restaurant.

I already contacted my friends and told them to visit the restaurant so that they can talk to the owner. The building is still under renovation and my friend wanted to have the restaurant logo before the end of the month. With the technology on logo designing right now, logo making will be easy compared before. I told my friend to calm down and let the artist do the work for the logo. Anyway, thats there forte.

I just finished my field work today with flying colors. I will heading tomorrow to south cotabato. That is about 5 hours ride going to my nest destination. Sometimes it is very hard when I am away. I miss my wife, my daughter and the place I call home. but this is my job and I have to do this to earn extra money to make ends meet.

I have to finish all the field reports in the area that I will be going because I need to submit the reports to cebu by the end of the month. My boss is in the States right now but I still need to meet the deadline. I still have 3 days before I will be going home. I miss all you guys, especially my little daughter, Arabella.

It was just last week of February when the office decided to reconnect the internet subscription in the office. Because of this, many of my friends in the office wanted to work online. Working online is very feasible this year. We always research the web for great offers in the net to earn money. I often told them to go to blogging because there is money in blogging.

I am a pro blogger and I have earned good sum of money via online writing. Aside from write articles, I also incorporated Adsense in my blog for additional earnings via site visits and impressions. Now that there is a connection in the office, the opportunity to earn big online is high.

OFFICE PRESSURE

There are many changes in the office right now. Reports should be checked or else there will be many complains. Just like now, there were many salesmen in Cebu City that are complaining about their cash bond deductions. The personnel that submitted the report is no longer with the company and that is the problem. We personnels left will be the ones to answer the questions that will be thrown to us.

But I am very confident that we will be able to answer it when our boss returns from the USA. I also told the salesmen that complained that I need their copies of the charge memo that were given to them so that I can review the records correctly. I am just waiting for a positive response from them.

UPCOMING OFFICEMATE

Our office is need of a new accounting clerk to fill the vancant position. There is one applicant that I think will be the one for the position that is vacant here in the office. She is a lady, fresh graduate from college and first time to undergo job interview. I spoke to her once and I think is good for our company.

The final say for her acceptance is our branch accountant. she just finished the interview with our branch accountant. Hoping that she will be accepted by our company. Our branch manager will be the last to make the final icing on the cake for her status.

ITS NOT YET SUMMER IN MARCH

Here in the Philippines, when it is already nearing the month of March, expect a good heat. But the weather is not what we expected. It is raining almost everyday. Flooding is also on going in some areas in the provinces. The local region has already declared a state of calamity because of floods and even landslides in the countryside. Usually when it is near March, many locals would go different beach resorts to take off the heat. But this time, many resorts are experiencing low tourist visits because of the weather.

I always commute everyday going to the office. I leave my shades at home because I won't be needing it. There is no sun and I prefer to bring my umbrella because for sure it is going to rain. Because of this kind of climate, many locals are sick with cough and cold. Fever cases are also rising as reported in many hospitals across the nation. I guess the beach visits will be postponed this week because of the weather that we have right now.

HOME SWEET HOME AT LAST

I just arrive this afternoon after a long 6 days trip going to the provinces. I arrive around 5 pm in the afternoon and I immediately went straight home to see my daughter at home. My wife always send me some of her pictures of my daughter because I requested it. It really brings joy to see my little angel's pictures with my wife. It always brings smile to my face watching the pictures with little captions. It is really good to be back home with my family. I also brought suman, a native delicacy from Digos city. My wife always ask for this suman made in Digos city. Now, I really need to rest with my wife and baby in our room.

JUMPING TO SOME NEW TREATS FOR THIS YEAR

I am trying to change the things that I do. I want 2011 to be a fruitful year to me. In this year, I will be 10 years in the company and I believe that there are more opportunities for me out there. With the experience that I earn for the current company that I am connected, I believe that it would be great to try new things in my career.

Also this year, I have many plans for family outings. I plan to bring my wife and my daughter to crocodile park because I always promise this to my wife but it never materialized. But this time, I want to make it sure that it would happen.

There are also lots of good things to celebrate for the new year. Out business with my colleagues in the office is also doing well. Our computer business is also doing good. There are repairs but it is just minimal compared to the revenue it brings in to us. I am just hoping that it would continue as the months go by.

I really plan to open up my own business this year. Me and my wife are always talking about our plans because we both believe that we have to take the risk in order to succeed in our life.

MY DREAM BUSINESS

This year is the year of the rabbit and it said that the year of the rabbit is a good year to start a business. I have been planning to start my own business but I just don't know when to start it. But this time I am very much sure that I start it this year. I am planning to open a busy and sell shop where my main products are cars and motorcycles. Ever since, I have been amazed with the cars and motorcycles and i plan to make it my own business. I already made several contact with car owners and telling them that I will sell their cars at a good price. I already issued several business checks to the car owners so that I can get their vehicles and display it in my display area in my shop. In just this week, I was able to buy 10 cars and already sold them all. Business is really very good and I plan to get the necessary business licenses so that I can operate if full without hesitation because of the internal revenue of the government.

I am still looking for a place spacious enough to accommodate around 20 cars so that I won't get a hard time on the show area for my customers. Just this morning I receive company checks from a company who is interested in buying my cars. According to their purchaser, they will be using my cars for their daily operation in selling. He also added that they will be buying more from my business. I am very excited and eager to my business into full swing.

Its so fast that 2010 has just ended and welcome the year 2011. As predicted, the year 2011 will be going to be the year of the technology. It is because many companies that are in the gadgets and technology business will be racing with one another to reach supremacy in the technology industry. This race will start in the cellular phones and up to the latest computers and others more. In this 2011, android phones will be a key technology advancement. In the last part of 2010, the appearances of android phones are really making its name in the technology industry. The touch screen display will still remain in the industry.

In the field of fashion, the bright colors will again dominate the fashion industry. In the 2011, there will be many new fashion designers that will appear and will make a name in the fashion industry. Expect bright fashion for this year 2011.

In the car industry, futuristic and stylish designs will be in for this year. The old muscle cars will still remain in the industry. Compact cars will be the in this for the car industry. There is a bright future for all automotive dealers around the world this year. The car industry will be very competitive because of the entry of the Chinese brands in the automotive industry. Expect stiff competition in this industry.
